Cheap but nasty
Good price but terrible claim service.
I was with AAMI for many years but found there prices creeping up.
Initially i had to have the car inspected before Budget would insure it. Bit of a pain but did it anyway.
1 year later, I had an accident that was not my fault. They made me jump through hoops wanting 5 years of claims history before they would book in an assessment. It took 2 weeks of emails and phone calls. if my car was undriveable, thats 2 weeks plus repair time i would have been without a vehicle.
After that experience, i went back to AAMI, happy to pay more for a claims experience far superior with everything sorted in 1 phone call.
Will never recommend Budget Direct.
