Charming when signing you up not so nice when you need them
My son who was a nominated driver, while driving my car had a minor accident, I then went to claim so that the other drivers car could be repaired.
The claim was rejected, reason being that in the last renewal I didn't disclose my son's driving history. If I had he would have been taken off the policy, as any driving infringements or accidents weather you are at fault or not mean that you are no longer covered by budget if you are under 25 and not the policy holder. An error on my part due to not paying enough attention to detail when the new policy came in. I should have told them.
I then went to cancel my policy, as it was no longer off use to me if my son could not drive the car. I was then told that there was no refund because I had put in a claim, even though the claim was rejected and nobody was paid out, I had 8 months to go on the policy.
I had never put in a claim with budget before just paid the premiums.
It seems like budget tweaks its policies to suit there pockets.
Budget was very charming when I updated my Home and Car polices over the past 12 years that I was a customer, however this façade changed as soon as I put in a claim, then the attitude was cold, accusing and dismissive.
