Cheap, and Not Just Cheerful
We have used Budget Direct for home and contents insurance since we bought our first home back in 2006. If everyone thinks that you get you get what you pay for in terms of service and quality of insurance, then think again.
Our house was badly damaged in the legendary Lismore hail storm of 2007. The hail was so large it tore holes in the roof and ripped shreds out of the chamferboards on the southern side of the house. In total, there was over $10000 damage. Budget Direct had an assessor at the house within the week at a time when people waited months to get damage assessed. Phone calls was promptly dealt with by staff who were friendly and helpful. The assessment was fair and all damage to our house and contents was fixed to our satisfaction.
There is a reason why this company gets all the gongs. I would certainly recommend them for home insurance.
