Low Ball – Taking advantage because they can.
My son's car was damaged by a GIO client.
There was a police report lodged and the GIO client accepted full responsibility.
The damage quoted was $3471. There was no issue with the quote and it was supplied from a professional repairer.
GIO / Suncorp low balled my son and offered $1700. They then changed that to $2200 then to $2550 - only after GIO / Suncorp were continually challenged on their 'Offers' and 'Research'.
However it was still low balling and my son was still $921 out of pocket plus other expenses that totaled another $800.
GIO refused to pay for total of the damage that their client caused and that was quoted on by the professional repairer.
GIO only paid for $2550 instead of the $3471
A TOTAL loss to my son of $921-
GIO should be ashamed.
