Make sure you have it in writing
After the devestating Melbourne Storm in 2010, we had to make a claim with AAMI; we still have no settlement and the best offer is less than a third of the claim. AAMI has passed this from one hand to another with misunderstanding, misdirections and sometimes just simple malice in dealing with the claim. The promised an assesor, no one came; they mixed two claims and are still refusing to acknowledge this error; they will not make available the recordings of the ohone conversations! So, if you are an AAMI home insurnace customer do NOT make a claim by phone, even if they appy pressure; have everything in writing, e-mail, mail of fax. Els you may regret it!
