Think before you buy

What is the story with these products and the inundation of advertising ? Are they making that much profit that they can run TV adverts every 5 minutes ? I got home yesterday and my wife had arranged funeral cover - we are both < 30 years old ! I can statistically hope to live to 70, so in the next 40 years I'll pay out well in excess of the costs of our funerals. It's a bizarre extension of life insurance that only really has value if you suspect youre going to die sometime in the next $3-5000 worth of premiums (ten years I guess). I understand life insurance, that sorts the family out and the mortgage, but this review is about Funeral insurance, which I think is a SCAM.
