  • Your 'aim' as you put it is not to ensure you process all customer claims at all, your companies business model is all about take the money and run.

    Don't worry the regulators are catching up on the scam and your day will come.

  • I strongly recommend anyone having issues with this insurer, or any insurer for that matter, to make a formal complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) its the only way I got any response at all from Budget Direct.

    The more complaints AFCA receive about a recurring issue with a company the more likely the regulators will take action. Any determination made by AFCA is binding on the insurer but not on the person making the complaint.

    As it stands now with any insurer they just take the "So sue us" approach to complaints.

    Your post is helpful as I have the same issue with my insurance claim and now I will make a complain to the AFCA against Budget Direct.
