The Tick Experience! Avoid like the plague! Tick will use every tactic to avoid paying a claim. My family tested positive for Covid 19. Airline tickets were nonrefundable and not eligible for vouchers as listed in public policy. Methods of obstruction by tick. 1: Residency status. Told I had to be an Australian citizen or PR, which I am. But this is not stated when you purchase the policy. 2: Demand for copies of ID that could be used in identity thief. Copy of passport, Medicare card, bank account statement showing how I paid for airfare although they were given airline receipt, Visa number, basically enough ID to be you. Any medical history to prove preexisting conditions as a disqualifier. Deductibles by category @ $200 each. So, for flight minus $200, accommodations minus $200, for food, transportation, and on and on to lower cost. Finally, when I stated that I contacted the airlines before contacting Tick, I was told by the claims adjuster that I needed a letter stating the airline public policy and that they would HELP ME, take it to a government agency to see if I could revolve the issue that way, But I had to do all the work. If you assume that Tick will make it easy to make a claim, you are very wrong. Your chance of a successful claim are slim to none. Poor customer service, hidden details after purchase, be prepare for extensive obstructions and delays. Only use Tick Insurance if you want a lesson in the type of travel insurance company NOT TO USE.
