Very slow response and extremely hard to claim from Wise traveller
Do not go for wise traveller insurance. Their response is super slow and their term and condition make it hard for you to claim from them
Below is my experience
On 1st Sept, I submit my claim for damaged luggage. Then I was referred to another email.
On 3rd Sept,I email to the email address that is given to me. No response from them at all
On 11 Sept, I tried to email them again also no response
On 20 Sept, I decided to submit a response on their website. Finally I get a response from them but they ask me to wait for an response
On 22 Sept, Lindy Chan from Head of Casualty, Financial Lines & A&H Claims, Asia Pacific response to me and reject my claim
The reason for rejecting are as follow
Based on the claim form, we understand that you discovered your damaged luggage when you are back in Singapore on 29 August 2022. Please note under Section 10.2 (b) and ( c) , we will not pay for losses if you do not report to the Carrier You were travelling on when the damage occurred and if the damage is not supported by proof of ownership, value and age.
How am I going to prove the ownership, value and age when the luggage is bought before covid period and receipt has been throw away long time ago. Who will keep a receipt for more than 2 years. They can come to my house to verify the luggage if they really want to prove the ownership
I only realise the damaged of the luggage after I unpack my cloth which is next day. How am I able to go n report the carrier?
As you can see the timeline for claim and response is very slow. They will give all reason to reject the claim. I have so much better experience with other travel insurance.
I will never choose Wise traveller again
