Do not use...
I have been an NRMA insurance customer with 3 cars, house and contents. After an accident where I was not at fault - they were not interested in helping me at all - only themselves. The insurers of the other party was under the same umbrella (IGA) - I was told by my assessor not to bother going through the other insurers to get a better "deal" as the outcome would be the same, as he was the assessor for them too. On top of it, he tried to pressure me saying that the price he would offer for my car, (up by $300) was only valid now, and if I did not take it, he would not offer it again! Rude and inconsiderate, and a very poor outcome when I was not at fault. I will switch to another insurer. They are no interested in the customer, but in their company. They colluded with the smash repairers to make my car a write off, after I asked that one of the panels be new (an extra $80) - pathetic.
