Do Not Travel Overseas COVID-19 Australian Border Closes
I took out a Bare Essentials Cruise policy in December 2019 , to cover myself for Medical pre existing medical conditions :- Blood pressure; Cholesterol levels; Anxiety; Stroke; CLL while I’m overseas for $1,433.59 AUD.
Now that we have the worldwide COVID-19 PANDEMIC that has now closed the Australian borders & government saying “DO NOT TRAVEL”
As our policy starts on our departure date 03/05/2020,
My complaint would be that InsureandGo has told me that they will not refund my payment of $1,433.59 for a policy that I can’t use.
I would have thought in these circumstance that insureandgo would be understanding.

Yes, I've been through your internal investigation but they never got back to me. I know your travel insurance business would be busy trying to get out of paying on claims during this COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
I'm now going through Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance claims department.
I've also lodge a complaint with Australia Financial Complaints Authority .
Let hope that your company realises that they can't keep someone's money for a policy that can't be used.

Would you like to join a refund class action against Insureandgo?
They can't get away with keeping our money for a policy we can't use.
