Gold cover does not cover "Natural disaster"

Was quoted on all 3 policies and their cover and was advised Gold covered everything (and states on the policy natural disasters), so purchased it for that reason. My return trip was cancelled due to the weather and incurred $1000 in flights etc. Submitted claim and outcome was I didn't purchase "natural disaster " cover. I was never asked! I was advised Gold cover covered everything!! What is the point of getting travel insurance when they aren't honest
