Changed their mind after surgery
I had a tooth extracted in hospital.
NIB said they would cover the hospital stay if I paid my excess. But would' pay for the procedure as I was with another fund. I was happy with that!
After the procedure the hospital called to tell me that NIB rejected my claim. NIB claims that they would not cover the hospital stay because it was more involved than a simple tooth extraction. So NIB win- the get my monthly payment. NIB wins again because they refuse to pay my claim after indicating they would. I lose because my stay doesn't get covered by NIB and I am further out of pocket! How do they get away with taking my money and not providing a service?
I am not happy with NIB and have chosen to switch. Be careful that you get the right information before proceeding with expensive procedures!
