Fantastic product, service and claim process
Back in 2019, I sent an email to Zoom as follows:
"Hi there Zoom peoples,
Just wanted to let you know that you've scored a new customer for life! I just read an article about what you did for the Sheridan family in Thailand last year and WOW!
Prior to reading the article, I hadn't heard of Zoom.
We travel overseas at least once per year and either use Budget Direct or Covermore for travel insurance, but not anymore!
Having a one year old myself, I can only begin to imagine the horror Lilliana's family were going through, but to have a great outcome with mum spruiking your great service is amazing!
While I never, ever want to be in a position where I have to make a claim on my travel insurance, it's great to know that there is an insurance company who will go above and beyond to help it's customers, when they need it the most.

In late 2022 I purchased a travel insurance policy with Zoom for my family of 6. We were headed to Europe on our nearly 6 week post-Covid adventure. We were headed to Paris, Italy, Malta and Bali. The cost of the insurance was very reasonable (about $600) and covered medical expenses for Covid.
But 2 weeks before our trip, my mother-in-law fell ill. One week before our departure date, she died. None of us wanted to go on the trip but before she passed, my MIL made us promise that we would still go.
Due to a public holiday, the funeral was organised for the day after we were meant to leave. This meant that I had to tinker with our departure flight in both date and location. But it was peak summer in Europe. Changing the flight to one 3 days later and into a different city cost me an extra $8000. I also lost another $1000 on accommodation that I couldn't get back. So I put in a claim, expecting it to be a long, difficult process with a rejection.
I couldn't be more wrong! I was allocated a consultant, Anthony, who dealt with me for the entirety of the claim. Yes I had to provide a few documents, like receipts and a medical document, but that is completely understandable. Within 1 week of providing everything, I was advised my claim had been assessed and had been approved. The money was in my account a few days later.
To say I have been blown away by an insurance company is to put it mildly. Anthony was compassionate and understanding, yet every effective and informative.
I highly recommend Zoom Travel Insurance and know that my family will always use this company for travel insurance.
