They failed me.
Whilst overseas, I somehow got a bug that resulted in my having chronic diarrhoea for 6 months. I went to hospital in Nepal and was admitted overnight under the advice of the Assist team at Covermore. They told me when I woke up that my GOP would be sent through and I would be able to leave. I had to wait the entire next day and missed my onward travel because they couldn't deliver as promised. 4 Months Later I am trying to claim reimbursement for an entire series of medical issues that followed where I cooperated at every time with Covermore's wishes. Even when they sent me home, I paid for my own flight and returned to Australia. They now claim that the rest of my trip can't be reimbursed. This contradicts the advice I received over the phone by multiple staff members of Covermore when they told me I had to return home or I would be unable to be covered if I kept travelling. I did what they asked of me and now am deeply out of pocket as a result of their disorganisation.
