Complicated application process
The application process is quite complicated when I signed up a few years ago. Take extra care when applying online. Even if you receive the confirmation online with starting date and membership number, you are still not covered until the following happens, money debited from your bank and you need to send back a written application that they send to you in the welcome pack. That will all take about a week or so to complete.
